The mastering engineer should be accounting for this.

I just picked up one of these and am loving it so far on acoustic guitar. I'm gonna try it on electric tonight. Is anybody else using these?

looking at the archive page on tapeop.com it looks like the bob ezrin article was all the way back in issue 31, from 2002. Unfortunately my collection doesn't go back that far. Good luck.

I'll second the RE15 (or RE 10.) They're also cheaper, easier to position around a drum kit, and use a standard mic clip.

Was the album mastered? By someone who is used to mastering for the medium?

Have you tried just going direct out from the interface into the amp?

I used the C38 a few times, but it's been a while. From what I remember, I feel like the CAD M177 does something very similar (ribbon like response.)

If it's happening at the same place each time, look for an audio region that starts there and try to consolidate that track. Sometimes picking up a new region will trip up DAE if it's not buffered right. Also, have you bumped up the buffer? Often a hiccup at 128samples will be fine at 256. Thanks f...
