Noisy recorder outputs and -10dbv, -8dbv, +4dbv?
The outputs of my tape recorder, a Fostex 16B, are very noisy. Tapes play back at a relatively low volume compared to/along with the noise. The noise exists as soon as the tape machine is turned on (it sounds like a constant wind), even if there's no tape on the machine. It's not the cables between ...
