Every one I have seen recently is of crappy build. My amp tech says the same. Cheap parts, PCB poorly mounted, etc. etc. etc. I've heard the sames things about them. The other guitarist in my band has the Reverborocket combo, he's had it for over 5 years now, I can't remember him having any problem...

I used to notice this ALL THE TIME. Back when "Lady Madonna" was a hit there was also a song that got airplay called "Montego Bay," by some unknown, same tune exactly. "Montego Bay" was a Bobby Bloom record. Bloom was in the crowd of guys the wrote/produced/performed a lot of late 60's bubblegum st...

His "Ain't That Lovin You Baby" is great. He sounds so evil and depraved in it. I got to see him a couple of years ago too, I'm glad I did. He played a strat CRANKED through an Orange head and Marshall 4x12 cab. He was so fucking loud. He must've played "Rumble" at least 3 times, all while wandering...

Re: "Hot Legs" by Rod Stewart
Man, this is another "Road Trip Classic Rock Radio" find. One of those songs that I've heard a million times, but never realized how great that recording is. What a terrific guitar sound. Such clarity in the overall recording while retaining the "dirt" of the band vibe. Love it. Who knows anything ...

Yet another Dano 12 user here. I got mine dirt cheap while they were still being made ($125, some guy bought it, used it for a week and took it back to the store). Worked ok for awhile. Then the action and intonation started to go bad, then it wouldn't stay in tune. Finally I sat down with it one da...

The Jackson 5. "I Want You Back" contains one of the best basslines ever, and a fantstic arrangement besides. This cannot be overstated. Incredible song. If you can find a copy of the "Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5" LP, get it. Its got "I Want You Back" and other great stuff, like the soul ball...

Re: drums; one @ a time?
The only thing I've heard about someone recording a kit one drum at a time was in a Jeff Barry interview. Andy Kim's hit version of "Baby, I Love You" from 1968 (and probably other Kim songs from the same era) was recorded with Barry playing each drum individually. I'd always wondered why the drums ...

Well, I'm probably going to have to make a decision between the beta 52a, the re-20, and the e902. I like the descriptions of the e902. I got confused for second and checked the Sennheiser website. I forgot that there's an e602 and an e902. Since a lot of talk in this thread was about the e602, mak...

This crap is everywhere. I didn't get a promotion I was going for and it bummed me out way more than I thought it would. Mainly a money thing, I would've been sittin' pretty with the extra dough, could've quit the part-time job and had a lot more time to relax PLUS catch up on debts.....but that did...

I'm in serious trouble if people think Bat Out Of Hell is geeky. I always thought that was one of the greatest records ever made. Let's see.......

Some of the Kasenetz-Katz 45's have backwards stuff on the flip, like chewy chewy. Yup, those are great. I collect Super K stuff, and at first glance you think "what a bunch of hacks, can't even put a real song on the b-side", but then you realize they just put 2:30 of backwards backing tracks on t...
