Maybe I just did your mic on Wednesday. Is your last name a color? Anyway, I'm really happy with the way these are turning out. The mechanical aspects of the mods are totally dialed-in now and it looks like a factory-assembled product.
oh, and sounds sweet too!

I seem to be developing this bad habit of giving things away (but, like many bad habits, it feels so good) ... ...I am so enamored of this new NT1a mod, I'll upgrade your mic for free Kingmetal. Just go to my shop, put the mod in your shopping cart, proceed to check out but don't pay once you reach ...

Thanks for the consideration! The stock LSD2 uses two K67-type capsules with its Neumann designed HF boost that was intended to be de-emphasized in the circuit that follows. The only mics with an MJE-K47 capsule are my own, and the mics I modify. That's a fairly tricky mic to work on and has to be c...

My ears were ringing...doh, incoming question I see! I've actualy modified quite a few Studio Projects mics, including a couple of LSD2 mics (love that name btw). I just been so busy I've fallen behind making dedicated product pages for quite a few mics. The LSD2 has a very clever mechanical design ...

wow. what a great pic! I've got an 1933 SS Stewart and a 1949 Orpheum - not really top of the line guitars in their time, more like working musician's guitars. In fact the Orpheum belonged to my mother in law's dad who was a big band rhythm guitarist. Both are very similar to Rawling's gtr. These gu...

New NT1a Mod
I've completed an intense period of R&D and now have a new modification for the RODE NT1a - new, more open-area "67 / 87" style headbasket and MJE-K47 capsule. Sounds righteous with that low noise (5 dBa) circuit in this mic. No more sizzle, just classic midrange punch.
