Success once more!
Just adding an update. I was able to update to 2.11, the one with CV. This is my second successful update. I had two fails this time though, both times it was not loud enough, which is the opposite problem I had last time. Also I was trying to update or load some patches to some synth awhile back us...

I recently acquired a 1969 Traynor YBA-1 Bass Master for a very modest sum, under $500: http://traynoramps.com/products.asp?type=11&cat=66&id=394#yba1 I can't say enough good things about this amp. Loudest 45w ever, but full range. It's reputed to be based on the original Bassman circuit but with so...

You might also have mismatched levels. +4 on Soundcraft and -10 on tascam? Your recording levels will nice and hot, then playback might be lower than expected. Or maybe vice versa. That Spirit Folio sounds more like a live sound mixer than designed for recording applications but can be used as descr...

Wow, a huge loss. Such an inspiration to me and I can't play drums at all. His playing with Bill Evans and his later work with Bill Frisell and Joe Lovano, including the amazing On Broadway series, have been a continual wellspring of beauty, always inspiring momentum for my own personal explorations...

a bit harsh to my ears Please elaborate, not taking offense in any way, in alot of ways I agree, but would love a little more specifics as to what's bothering you, to much highs/presence on gtr or vox? the dirty vox? the lack of sense of space in any part of the EQ spectrum?? these are just some gu...

Yes you're right, there are lots of complaints of various aspect of certain models, but if you find a small model with enough memory for your needs, i think you might be happy. Yeah i'm staying away from their larger pads for awhile, didnt know they were already doing android. I'm looking at this on...

Yes I do. Anything by COWON. They play all popular codecs, audio and video. But they're expensive, some of they're fancier stuff costs as much as an iPad, and some are kinda big with awkward joysticks, menues, etc., but... Audio quality is far, far above any other portable player, IMO. They have a n...

When i first saw this I also said, "oh shit something else i need to have," but after seeing the price, whoa, that's too steep for what it is. I got one of those akai synthstation for my iphone ($60 on amazon) and i think it can do all this and more. plus the actual keybaord is surprisingly solid fo...

Critique please: indie rock, recorded & mixed w/ TASCAM
Hello TOMB, We recorded this ourselves on a TASCAM 388, with minimal mics, no pre's (not on purpose, just didn't own any yet!), mixed down to stereo via Digi003. Please let us know what you think of the mix and overall sound of the recording. http://dinners.bandcamp.com/ Feedback will be much apprec...

Alright two nights of mixing thus far, hope to post a mix or two for critique soon. Been hard, but everyone is excited about how it's sounding so far. A couple of questions thus far: How do you fix that one bass note that is way louder than the rest? We tried eq, limited to the 388 thus far, and per...

Thank you all for the advice thus far. Playing a show this week, we start mixing next week. Things I'm gonna try from this thread: *1st of all starting in mono: This seems important and popular, I like the idea if you can get some separation and a good sounding mix here, once you get to panning, it ...
