in the more dancey section, do you think the rhythm of the tambourine clashes at all with the high hats?

thanks for the replies! i bumped the close snare mic up a bit, i'll fool around with the cymbals and see if i can get them a little smoother and try some delay on the vocal. i intentionally kept it kinda dry because the drums are kind of roomy sounding though. i'll probably post a couple more soon i...

Please check out my mix!

This is a local band I've been working with. I'm looking for any suggestions, critiques, etc. If you have a few minutes to spare, I'd appreciate it!

Anybody live there? I'm ...

the hotcake is awesome. i have the "bluesberry" version which is a little more compressed and love it. i also highly recommend Barber pedals. the LTD is a great sounding light overdrive pedal that is well within your price limit.

Sounds like cold solder joints or possibly bad capacitors. You could try opening it up and reflowing connections yourself if you are so inclined.

to be fair, i've only used it on mac for one day when my band was on tour and we were working on overdubbing vocals to some demos we started before we left. it seemed to function just as well on the macbook as it does on my pc.
