However, I see now that you can calibrate "0 db = _____ dBFS" !!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT I SHOULD HAVE IN BLANK "____dBFS"!!! Hi Trodden, Here, I have my consoles "above zero dB" set to match on my converters. My A&H console has +16 dB metering peak at the mix buss, and the direct outs are a little hott...

Re: Wilco cover band?
Maybe point me in a direction you like. I imagine they've been around a while. I’m not the OP, but if they’re on the same page as me, Wilco-wise, I’d tell you to start with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, and then move on to A Ghost is Born, and Sky Blue Sky. Wilco does have a shit-ton of material out there,...

" My uncle who passed last year loved working with stained glass and had made us a Japan themed table awhile back. Its surface was uneven due to all the various glass involved making it awkward to place glasses on, so i hit upon removing the table legs and back-lighting it as wall art this winter. S...

Re: Tell us about your 2023 wrap-up
Did not work much as an audio engineer, did a few EP projects and a few album mixes. Personal and family stuff came first, and always will. This year hoping it is better business wise. I'm developing a product related to guitar pedals, should be advertised on TapeOp soon. Also joined Amazon Audible ...

Behringer ARP 2600 with an EHX 8 step progam pedal
I figured out how to make the EHX 8 step program pedal play notes, in tune, and send those control voltages over to my ARP 2600. Thankfully, the ARP has two sets of outputs, so I could tune each slider of the sequencer to a note, via sending the output to my guitar tuner. It prefers sine waves LOL. ...

Re: rotating speaker alternative
You could jury rig a circular railing with bearings, smooth and well oiled ones, using a silent electric motor, as silent as possible anyways, and have the mic inside the frame, with its null cancelling most of the motor noise. Yeah, but who's got the space for such a contraption? Well, if you look...

Re: rotating speaker alternative
I seem to recall a radio special about Yes (from the bygone days when radio specials about bands were kind of a thing) where they said that one of the band members spun a corded mic around over his head during recording in an attempt to get some sort of Leslie-ish sound. I don't know how it worked ...

Re: delivery resolutions for digital
thanks for the responses. I was meaning in terms of FINAL delivery formats from mastering etc. I've recently started doing everything at 96k so i think for me i will do 24b/96k, You'll be fine if you deliver either in 24/96k or in whatever your final mix format happens to be. Upsampling is not enco...
