Needless to say, there are some tremendous American made guitars from the major companies. But, percentage wise, if you're buying a guitar online and can't play it, you're better off with MIJ (Tokai, Epi, etc) than with USA. This nails it right on the head. As my friend Ande is fond of saying "In t...

I would suggest that if you have to MAIL it somewhere, to mail the whole instrument. After a refret, a whole setup (usually part of the deal) will need to be performed. Keep in mind that if your frets are indeed that worn, your bridge height will probably need to be raised (well. . .the saddles on t...

i'm a big fan of the D'Addario EXP series. They're coated, but sound a lot more natural (to me) than the Elixers. They come in all different styles (80/20, Phospher Bronze, etc). I dig them on just about all of my acoustics. -J I'm actually using a set of these right now since I got it for free two...

I'll chime in and say what I told a friend of mine about this yesterday. . . Remember the ethernet guitar? With the RJ45 jack on it? Neither does anyone else. I don't think Gibson expects to sell any of these. They just expect to get some publicity and let people know they're still out there. I'll u...

I was pretty impressed with esession.com! Besides the fact that they had chicks dressed up as french maids cleaning a hotel room (who got me coffee), they impressed me more than any one thing at the show. First day I went was Saturday and noticed the booth right away. (who could miss it?) Finally ha...

What about ESATA? Seems like that's a pretty reliable and FAST option. Drives are cheap enough, as are enclosures. I've been thinking about making an external ESATA enclosure and using regular old SATA drives on "sleds" to hotswap them per project. Each client would bring and care for their own driv...

Well then it's definitely working! Whether it's for real or psychological doesn't matter. If your recordings sound pretty great. . .what are you worried about?kentothink wrote:It seems to be helping in my room as I think my recordings sound pretty great.
