Of the stuff that's left, I'd be willing to entertain offers...

Thanks everyone! I knew the ART Pro VLA got a lot of love. Man... if ART is going to go make stuff that doesn't totally suck, perhaps they should create a new brand? It's just tough to voluntarily agree to hand over money and then display an ART device in my house. Just makes me feel dirty and stuff...

RNLA vs TLA-50 vs ?
Hey! I'm looking at the RNLA or the TLA-50 as a cool/fun tracking comp to tame a little and perhaps add some mojo on the way in, for male vox, ac gtr, and bass. The appeal of the RNLA is the FMR price/performance ethos (I have an RNC, but am looking for a different flavor). The appeal of the TLA-50 ...

21.5 iMac... do I care about the faster graphics card?
Is there any reason I would need the faster graphics card (for an extra $300) on a 21.5" iMac?
It would be primarily for running Logic, a little Reason and Protools (and then watching the odd movie). I don't care about the bigger hard drive.
Thanks!

FS: Speck ASC, RNC, VC3q, etc
I'm cleaning out my closet and trying to get rid of some gear I don't really use. Everything works and comes with power supply, etc. Contact for pics or any questions. Buyer pays shipping or pickup in Brooklyn (or possibly meet up in Manhattan). -Speck ASC 4 band EQ (non-transformer output version, ...

you want to take your signal off the repro head, which is delayed from the sync head, so everything that you cut together should all go through the 827. (You can line it up later, but then you won't have immediate playback and therefore lose a lot of the convenience of printing to PT as you go.) You...

The new version of Beatmaker is out, adding audio recording, some new features to the sequencer (including pitch control over time so you can do melodic stuff) and a filter bank for the fx. The upgrade is free. I just downloaded and haven't really gone through it, but at first glance it seems to mak...

The load impedance won't influence how hard the element works--the amount of air pressure (sound) will. A higher resistance on the load (your pre) than on the source (your mic) is fine. A lower impedance load than source causes distortion and impaired low end response (and is why guitars sound poopu...

I was looking for single notes, ideally across the whole piano and at a few velocities. Stuff like mechanical noises, etc. are fine. I'm just looking for a fun piano for my songs and that's a sound I've always been weirdly attached to. I completely cannot master, and def don't have the monitoring si...
