i guess the rub is, i paid him up front (i know i'll actually get the finished product, that's no worries), because if you pay for a day in full in advance, the rate is cheaper. he's legit & been in business for 30 years, so there's no doubt i'll GET the finished product, or that he'll run off with ...

Like I said....we are done after this one song recording. We are here for the "live" track because his room is the only room I know of that's close and affordable that has the means to record all of us simultaneously. It's 24 tracks going at one time, 6 people. And the room has enough room for a vid...

New issue of TapeOp, SDC review

I was reading the new issue & read a cool review for a cheap pair of small "bullet sized" small diaphram condensors that have a great intro price.

Now I lost my damn issue!! :(

can someone give the the website for those mics so i can order them??

Pet Sounds has been very well documented. Brian used many studio musicians as well as the Boys themselves. What I am telling you is from memory, so it is the best I can recollect. Brian totally used the Wall of Sound method, so a lot of those "guitar" tracks are doubled or tripled, but are not only ...

Oh we have talked about it a bit. Just seems he is looking at me blankly like I am coming from left field. Just wanted to see if other people thought I was out of line, too. is it possible that YOU misunderstood what your role was to be in HIS project? I am open to the idea that ANYTHING is possibl...

Nakamichi 610 Preamp...as a mic pre??

There is a Nakamichi 610 preamp on CL here and I am curious if I could use this as a mic pre? A little google searching found that it does have one mic input and line outs...but I cannot find much info about it. Is this something I could use as a mic pre??
