To Leigh: LOL , I already was! It's the kind of thing that get's stuck in your head. I did my reading on floating pioint calculations and came to the conslusion that because of the "floating" aspect there is less rounding of going on. I guess the question "why not use this in HD" is pointless? I sti...

Agreed; so if I lower level on a track I will use less bits of the 24 available. Or: distortion gets higher (because of rounding of). So in HD or TDM sets you can choose a dithered mixer that will put dither on every single track. The noisefloor gets a little higher this way but distortion figures a...

Protools LE mixer
Hey guyz, I never thought about this but what kind of mixer is PT8 LE using. See, my Mix+ and HD have a choice between stereo mixer, stereo dithered mixer and surround dithered mixer. For some reason Surround dithered mixer is most DSP friendly and sound the best (to me). But in LE you don't have a ...

Try "Slim Slow Slider" here : http://www.geocities.jp/webmaster_of_sss/vst/#c3
Completely unreadable website but it works.
Also limofive is a 5 band limiter. Not the same but works fine:http://www.sonoria.pl/jk/pluggox.html

Guitar rig is amongst the best emulation programs around. I sort of dislike IK multimedia's Amplitube and I can't get a decent sound out of waves guitar. But PodFarm is very good and so is Eleven. Eleven is better with clean sounds than the other 2. Kind of Loud also makes an emulation but I never u...

Almost the same thing: I know a guy who worked in a mobile video van. They where outside at some party when a VERY famous person (sorry I can't give names) walked by their truck and the producer talked him into doing an interview right there in the truck. No PR man or other exec with him. This would...

Just to give you an idea: the turntable you mention is actually OK. There's a cheaper version without USB: http://www.musicdirect.com/product/81209 Combine that with a nice turntable preamp. Project makies a great one: http://www.musicdirect.com/product/74466 But also NAD has a very decent pre that'...
