Studio Electronics SE-1...
http://www.retrosynth.com/gear/se1/se1b.jpg So, my trusty MS-20 has been a really awesome synth for me- it's insanely flexible, it's got awesome character in its filters and it's got oodles of cred. But I want more bass. The poor thing does its best, and the bass sounds are great, but they're not a...

I pulled the amp from the leslie- my goodnes those transformers are huge. I took it down to Condor Electronics in Freemont, and Kevin is going to put a 12ax7 preamp in it, replace the 9-pin jacks with 1/4" jacks, and put a standard power cable on it. You better believe I'm going to hook this thing u...

Chopping my Leslie speaker
Okay, so I'm not chopping the actual cabinet, but I am going to pull the innards and stick them in a new cabinet for it so I can bring it to gigs. I've got a Leslie model 44W, which is a single speed tube amped leslie. I'm going to build a cabinet with rotating horn chamber similar (hopefully slight...

WEEEEELLLL funny you should mention good shows! http://www.velella.net/images/posters/2-22-05-med.jpg My band is Velella Velella, we're playing at 9, and we sound like more hip-hoppy Stereolab. LIve vibes and analog synth and programmed drums etc. If you come out we'll give you a CD or T-shirt or so...

When you say religious, do you mean an active member of an organized religion or someone who isn't but spiritual in their own way?
What if the religion is the church of satan?

Re: A typical flyer I have to design
I used to work for a weekly newspaper and we'd get stuff like this all the time (sometimes full pages of text for an 8th or even 16th page ad)! Oh man, this brings back memories. Also, we'd get stuff like this for hookers. "all you're fantases fulfilled..." I remember browsing through one very... vo...

The machine isn't a DAW at all, it's just got this consumer version of ACID that ships with Vegas. I can't download stuff because I'm not going to risk downloading programs off a P2P.
