Wow - that's rather exciting. If you can send me the instructions I could probably give it a go myself. So long as there's nothing that requires too too much fancy fingerwork... :-)

Got mine! It's a thing of beauty. This is seriously exactly what I want all of my gear to look like. Sadly - I can't put it through its paces yet - all of my toys are in boxes waiting for their new space to be finished. Probably won't be able to wait for that, though... I'll probably end up busting ...

jeepers creepers, man... I'm buying that album the day it's released. I'm a HUGE fan of pretty much everyone involved and judging by the clips - the collaboration worked.

Any good anecdotes from the sessions? Too soon?

Sheeit... Come to New Orleans.* It gets down to a LOW of about 45 in the January and is home to the best drummers and bass players i've ever met. A 15 minute drive to Metarie and your in cheap industrial space HEAVEN. *New Orleans is prone to particularly strong natural disasters. Occupy at your own...

Yeah - I thought everyone was familiar with this - but very few people I talk to about it know what i'm talking about. Maybe it's just the crappy free phones I use that do it so dern much. Cell phones have a sweet little swing rhythm they play whenever they talk to the tower. Quarter note, eighth no...

I think the mac/logic combo is extremely hard to beat. I've never plugged a piece of equipment into my computer (Macbook Pro) that wasn't instantly recognized by both the computer AND Logic. I've never been able to throw more tracks at this system than it could handle. (never recorded more than 16 a...

Anyone used ProRemote or ProTransport???

http://www.folabs.com/ Is what i'm talking about. Essentially programs for iPhones and iPod touches that enable you to control your DAW, to varying degrees, from as far as your wireless network will reach. There's a $100, a $40 and an $8 dollar version. I just got the $8 one, which just controls the...

Not really. The way I understand it is you halve your plug power when you double your sr. Printing all the effects certainly helps, but you can't do that for buses. I used to tough it out and try to get creative with plug count, but lately I've been doing 88.2 for simple, sparse arrangements and 44....

I'll throw down on this. My first yamaha piece was a CS-80 synthesizer. Found it in my girlfriend's parents basement in PERFECT condition and asked them 'How much for it?' They said, 'We were gonna ask if you could help move it out to the alley." (!) The first song I ever recorded was the CS-80 for ...

Tremendously interesting, indeed. 'Specially with with the amount of RAM you can fit into Mac Pros these days. I'll give it a shot the next time i'm in the laboratory.

Is the program free? shareware?

Put me down for one. In my dream studio - all of the gear looks just like that. Post apocalyptic and doubling as a cooking or smoking device with no modification.
