Re: Focusrite ISA428

i got one for review. the pres are cool. not "ohmygod" sounding or anything, but clear, defined, etc. way better than the junk i normally use, so i've been happy. lots of options too, like variable HP filter, and switchable impedences. i don't know how the converters sound because focusrite hasn't ...

Re: Focusrite ISA428

Anyone have one or use it?Worth the money? I've also been wondering...they stick the "n" word on there, but then you look at the asterisk and it's like "rupert neve had no hand in designing this product...blah blah blah......." still, wonder if it's any good. If the converters are great, then the p...

Re: Oktava MC012's crazy cheap right now

I wish stapes would make a couple of weird capsules to fit these little guys. They would be so much more fun. The lomo capsule is pretty amazing, and makes these mic's into world class large diaphragm's for (comparatively) slim money. stapes doesn't manufacture capsules, they manufacture the electr...

Re: Oktava MC012's crazy cheap right now

Of course I had to go thru a few to find one where the grille on the capsule hadn't fallen off. cv  ...we've a...

The eight-second rule is b.s. An urban legend. Eight seconds might be what somebody determined was a good amount of.... I just want to reiterate this. Yes, it is BS. Working at a radio station for 4 years, it seemed like every other day someone would mention the "eight second rule," the "Two second...
