New Track - Would love some feedback.

Hello!

Here's a track I recorded a few years ago and I recently found it, dusted it off, polished it a little and put it out.

Would like your opinion.

All sample-based music

Hi!

I'd like to know your opinion about this latest piece I made.

I work with samples. I have not seen many sampled based songs on this board so this might be kind of novel.

Thanks!

Would like to know what you think:

Snarl:

I did indeed compress the hell out of it.

I've never worked with vocals before, so I got lucky.it seems like everything is easier when one records in stereo.

I updated the mix with compression on the vocals and it sounds much better. The initial link I posted is still good.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you everyone.

Any recommendation for a free plug in compressor for OSX?

I haven't used any of the on board compressors in Cubase yet. I could also try one of those.

Thanks. I think you are right. I've never worked with vocals before and I'm not a big fan of compression. I was riding the fader during the final mix so I could avoid using compression. I'll try it.

Jackson Station Recording -

Hello! A friend of mine asked me to record him performing this song. He performs the acoustic guitar, vocals and harmonica. I added all the rest and recorded the shabang. What do you think? I usually record classical musicians so this type of recording is new for me. https://brendandailey.bandcamp.c...

Sorry I didn't respond to this so long ago.

I used AT4050 mics in the Blumlein configuration.

I was about 6 feet from the musicians. The floor is linoleum and there was a tall ceiling right above the players but not above where the mics were.

How do I run Numark Mixtrack II USB DJ Controller in Cubase?

Hello. Can someone please help me set up a Numark Mixtrack II USB DJ Controller to run into my Cubase Artist 6 for recording purposes? Is it even possible? I have a Mac with two USB outlets. One will need the Cubase dongle so I will only have one USB outlet left. I also use a ProFire 610 - High-Defi...
