Come Together / The Beatles is proof that a guy can stick a single overhead mic over the drums and still get a sense of movement between the toms and the hihat. Love it.

I'm hearing Traveling Wilburys doing "Unto us a Child is Born" -G.F. Handel
and it's pretty obvious who is singing what.

You sold me right there.

for some reason, I thought that snapping the switch off/on while holding down that fifth was good for the organ. At least, it felt like it.

I picked up an E.V. RE-10 cardioid dynamic for about $100.
Something cheap like that, maybe?

Sputtering from humidity is a chronic problem with my four Oktavas. But I've never had a problem with the 012's nemesis, the Audio Technica PRO 37R. And I don't even have a case or pouch for that bitch.

It will surprise you. Decent preamp, you'll like it. Sometimes boxy sounding, sometimes smoother than SM57. Like any mic.

Shure M68 on eBay.
I would consider this a performance mixer.
Mine has an extra summed output at microphone level so you can chain 'em together. You just turn everything up to 9 and take it from there.
