Being an MTSU recording industry graduate who now works in the flooring department at home depot, I should be the authority on this topic. But I should be alot of things I'm not. Anway, I feel obligate to try to come up with some useful advice. First of all, if this room is an old garage then I'm as...

Re: Moving To Nashville soon
I just bought a house in East Nashville (Inglewood) and I am going to rent out the master bedroom suite for $475 (utilities included). The bedroom is furnished with a bed, dresser, bookshelf, computer desk, and closets. I've got a studio in one bedroom that is not quite set up yet but will be soon. ...

Re: Day Jobs and the Fear of the Real World
Ok, I am bitter. My last post on this topic was made one late night out of frustration and I should appologize for most of it. MTSU does as much as it can with what it has. And there are some great teachers there. I am just angry with myself because I have yet to reap anything from all my years of s...

Re: Day Jobs and the Fear of the Real World
Hey JCA83, I graduated from MTSU about 7 months ago. I too got skeptical of the program for various reasons througout my stay there. The program is almost exclusively geared towards getting you a second engineer position at a large Nashville-type studio.. Which is unfortunately not the direction I w...

Re: Anyone in Chattanooga here?
For the past 15 years I have lived in a small town about 20 miles outside of Chattanooga so I am pretty familar with the area. Until the past 5 or 6 years I always thought that this area was pretty lame. Chattanooga seemed pretty run down and there just wasn't much to do to help pass the time. But I...

Re: Staying Fit in the American Recording Studio
Good point. From now on I am going to stay in shape by exercising my patience and my right to vote. That sounds like cool bumper sticker or button. It would would say "Do I look fit? Because I exercised my right to vote" and it would have a cartoon muscle man in it and he would be making a big check...

Re: Staying Fit in the American Recording Studio
I just started my workout session but I need some help. Should I focus more on my biceps or triceps? Biceps are a lot more popular but triceps can do some really cool things especially when it comes to tetherball. Mhm, I am going with triceps.

Staying Fit in the American Recording Studio
I spend alot of time in the studio so much time in fact that if I exercised as much as I recorded then I would be the most ripped man on earth. It is now my mission to seemlessly combine audio recording and physical fitness. I need your help. I need to know which muscles I should focus on to make me...
