I went to the Alesis website and found this... The iO|14 gives you forward-thinking expansion potential, with ADAT lightpipe inputs for additional connectivity, no matter what your recording sessions may demand" Wouldn't this imply that I could use the ADAT with this? Is there something I am missing?

Audio to USB input with ADAT I/O

I am looking for a Audio to USB input with ADAT I/O for fairly cheap, like 250 or under I am using Sonar and a Blackface ADAT. Please don't hate on me because of the Blackface...It's what I have to work with right now. :twisted:

Midi Loop sequencer from Old IBM

There was a site a while back called fsbachmachines that showed how to

"Build a MIDI loop sequencer out of practically any old IBM PC." The site is down now but iwant to do this.. anybody have any info or resources??

I was wondering if anybody on this forum has built their own racks for their gear and could give me any advice, The woodworking part seems easy... and my father has a full metal shop I could use for that part of it. any help?

I don't know if that would work for what i need because I want to jam with others, but i guess I could run through a mixer and jam through a headphone mix, which might be kind of weird but do-able. I Might be interested in computer solutions, but I don't have a computer right now and can't really af...

How about just a cheap way to lessen the sound, it doesn't have to be dead
quiet but I don't want to bother the neighbors and I can't afford a jam space.

Soundproofing an apt

I live in an apartment and need to do some cheap temporary sound proofing that won't damage the walls. Any sugestions? I tried searching the forum and didn't come up with much.

No need to get nasty!! It wasn't clear at all to me. The Midi.org stuff was much more intelligable to my brain for whatever reason.
