I'm running an athalon 1ghz with 512(pc133) ram... I run all kinds of tracks and waves plug'ins (vegas 4) . I haven't run into any trouble with the number of tracks. There's gotta be something else wrong in your set up. Is your adio harddrive 7200 rpm? are you using ASIO drivers?

If you run the speakers at 8 and 16 (in parallel,) that adds up to 6 ohms. Speakers at 8 and 4 will add up to 3 ohms.

Go buy a 6 ohm head.

I have two sound cards... I route the spdif out from one card (with a mix of all the inputs) to the spdif in on the other and monitor everything from one soundcard.
Would that work for you? It'd be cheaper.

Yeah, I got two of those Nady mics free with the purchase of a cheap mic cable.

They weren't the greatest mics in the world. I ended up including them with an 8track that I sold on ebay.

I just saw this 8-channel Mic Pre from Nady for only $99. This has to be a peice of crap
If someone can come up with some good mods for it, it could be a really great starter pre-amp for some people.

This thread rocks. Audio Technica and Rode seem to be oposites. I need to borrow an AT mic to compair it w/ my NT1. That guy said something about the replacement (nt1-a) being worse..
