Cheap recording
The other day (and other times in the past year or two), a coworker (Boss' hubby) and others have asked at the thrift store where I work about portable cassette tape recorders. We get few in that still work. Is there some new format out or coming (with removable/transferable media) to take the place...

What's the fastest mp3 encoder that works with Audacity?
Right now for recording at church then editing at home, I'm recording in Audacity, exporting the .wav then importing it into Cool Edit 2000 to resave as mp3. I've tried using LAME as the export encoder for Audacity but with a 60-90 minute file it tells me it'll take well over an hour to export. Cool...

You need to host your pictures somewhere online (flikr,. photobucket, etc) then put the URL of the image between the and tags. Otherwise just link to the page(s) where the image is hosted. I've seen people try to link directly to the image path on their hard drive (C:\Documents and Settings\...) but...

One more problem identified but not yet fixed (just moved). Monitor op-amp was shot. Does anyone know of a good source of MC1437 to replace it (and have spares)? Is there a direct drop-in replacement for it? Digikey couldn't find either. Until I find the problem in the one 100C module shorting out t...

Even if not online, does anyone have better and more complete schematics (more pages) of the 100 series? As stated, I'm looking for the 100A and 100C. Though maybe the 100B and 100D are close enough I can trace out the differences and draw my own for them. With just the 100A, I'm getting a pegged me...

Yeah, I got those already and will be doing some cleanup of the messy schematic images. They don't appear to include any 100A or 100C diagrams though, only the 100B and 100D. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5053/5573137264_254a6b69af_z.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5110/5573137356_e4ba594e2e_z.j...

I just got a SIE 100 series model 8x4 this weekend, $40 "needs work" and found this thread via Google. I haven't had a chance yet to start checking it out (plug it in). This one has six 100A and two 100C modules in it. Does anyone have schematics for these? I see (at least) one of the above units ha...
