Testing the waters on trading my NS10 speakers. One of them needs a tweeter great condition otherwise. I don't have a good amp to drive them so I was thinking of trading for a set of powered speakers. So throw me some offers or tell me I'm nuts...

make sure the tape the guy gave you is good for the machine and not subject to sticky shed. New RMGI tape can be found on ebay and is correct for the 388. when was it serviced last. prob would be beneficial to have it all gone over and set up. where are you located. do you have a known tech in your ...

Download the manual for the 388 and make sure your setting up everything right. Also replace/check out the fuses.

So it turns out it was a odd problem with the sensor for the right tension arm. It was an intermittent voltage problem. The tech tracked it down to that and is going over it another time and i should have it back next week.

Just got a Crown ph-4 phantom power supply for my condenser mics and on the back of the unit it has +48 VDC connectors to slave. What is this used for. I cant find anything for this unit on the web so far. Anyone ever use this unit for there mics.

so i opened up the front cover to the transport area and aside from a little dust it very clean in there. The break felt is clean and dirt free. Jharv.. I took another look at the caps and there not swollen and the tops are flat. Would prob change them anyway once I figure out what's going on now. Make war.. Sorry to see your having problems as well..hopefully we can both figure out what's going wrong and get our 388's back to tip top shape....
