I know it looks a bit spammy, but the download worked for me the last time I tried. The manual has basic maintenance procedures.

I had great hopes for Dream cymbals, but it seems like they're going the Wally World Way. I'm glad you mentioned Dream--I don't know much about them, but last fall I tracked a group whose drummer had a set. I was really impressed by the sound (and even more so after he told me what he paid for them...

de facto standard crash/ride cymbals?
Ok, analogy time...
6.5x14 Supraphonic is to snare drum as ??? is to crash cymbal...
Zildjian New Beat is to hi-hat as ??? is to ride cymbal...
trying to decide what the best One Thing to own is.

I'm not clear here...are you only wanting to record bass and kick to tape, or is that your intended sync source...or? Are you wanting to track to tape then dump to digital and mix from digital? Let's say I'm tracking drums and bass--I would like to track *everything* to tape, while multing the kick...

aligning transfer from tape
Hey guys: So I just deduced that the MS-16 that was sold to me as a 15ips model is, in fact, a 30ips model. after feeling a little bummed for a while, I decided that this really only impacts recording bass and kick. (that is, until I mod the unit for 15ips operation) Until then, I'm trying to come u...

how about a show of hands? Two hands up here. I've been looking *everywhere* for a digital copy; Tascam supposedly has hard copies, but they told me they're backordered... it does not scan back to a non-proprietary file so really the only thing I can make is a hard copy Any chance you could clarify...

3-band vs. 4-band EQ
Hey guys, long-time lurker, first-time poster. I recently finished up a GDIY 51x rack, so now I'm deciding what to fill it with. Looking at 500 series EQs, I see a lot of 3-band EQs. I'm still early in my digital-to-analog transition, and I'm wondering about 3-band vs. 4-band EQs. In the box, my got...
