As you guessed, the signal would never flip. Something on the receiving end has to invert the negative signal and add the that to the positive signal. That's what cancels out the noise. In the situation you describe, receiving end doesn't do anything with the negative signal. (The poor ring of the T...

Hm, hard to say without a little more information. Stewmac has lots of free info on wiring--that's how I learned what little I know. Here's a great overview: http://www.stewmac.com/freeinfo/I-4000.html Here's a digram (as opposed to a schematic) on standard P-Bass wiring: http://www.stewmac.com/free...

Lindy Fralins. I have the "blues special" PUs in my mexi tele. A little beefier than stock cheapo pickups, but still with lots of tele twang.

Great pickups. Not cheap, but certainly reasonable.

Looks like you'll just need to supply +/- 15 to pins 7 & 8 of the edge conenctor, and phantom to pin 9. (The center bottom of the schematic tells you what goes in or comes out of the 10 edge connector pins) The lower left corner of the schematic shows the mini power supply buffer on each card. That ...

From the site: The VIDAR combines three different functions in one operation. 1) It neutralizes spurious charges that build up around the cables and the insulation. 2) It provides a very wide band and deep conditioning into the conductor core, which produces changes in the way signals pass through t...

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, Floid... Soundwaves develop through space because the low frequency soundwaves need a certain amount of space to manifest the entire sine shape. Draw an S horizontally, and that's your sine wave, which if you don't give it any room, it won't shape into the whole S... ...

Points one and two above sound more like sound generation than recording. You could use the computer to run software intruments like organs, synths, and drum machines, and record that audio on to your analog 8-track. And I think you're right that you can get good stuff cheaper, or sometimes even fre...
