Yeah I think your right with the agc. Perhaps I should find a suitable plug in and apply to an ambient mic. I've done both live in the room and separate recordings and you're right, those one instrument at a time tracks tend to sound pretty flat. Even if at the time I thought I was performing my par...

that compressed sound from iPhone recordings etc

We always record our band practices on an iphone in the corner of the room, and generally get the ideas we need down. I'm also a hobbyist recordist, and now and again I'll spend a weekend utilising the assortment of mid range gear and knowledge i've accumulated over the years recording our songs. Sp...

Sage advice thanks. Option A sounds worth perusing. It's not that I was drunk at the time of poking, more that I didn't invest as much time as I should have in the project due to my busy drinking schedule ahead. I can shift around my schedule if its worth it, and it sounds like I've got nothing to l...

reribboning UK

Hey! I've acquired a Chinese made but not shit ribbon mic with a fried-by-phantom-power down a bad XLR ribbon in it. I may have opened it up, had a poke around and made it worse. I am probably but not definitely too drunk with any of my spare time outside of my day job to fix this thing myself. I am...

....after much frustration I realised the controls for the presets were hidden at the bottom of the Ozone window, hidden under my dock menu. Stupid - yes, but also a little surprised Isotope chose not to put the preset options under the 'file' menu as well like you might expect!

Thanks

Ozone file help

Hi I'm new! So I do my rough mix and do a rough master in Ozone for my bandmates (quickly sort out the EQ, make it louder etc). My bandmates say they want the vocals a little louder. I create a new mix and want to directly replace the file I already have in Ozone with the new mix but keeping all the...
