Well, according to this...

They are going to definetly do something to the powerbook. Unfortunately I'm the kind of guy who waits for the cheaper price break.

Man you find the best websites!

My alma mater had an amazing cog sci dept and I kinda got into stuff like this being a neuroscience major and all. You wouldn't happen to be able to find the abstract on this thing would you?

Re: ibook or powerbook? does it really matter?

No cardbus on the ibook, though.

I am having this exact same debate! I'm leaning towards the 1fw no pcmcia ibook... can't justify the extra 700 buckaroos right now. Course, I might just wait till oSX Tiger and G5 powerbooks come out and then pick up the g4 powerbook at the price break. :?

Re: tats and piercings

I have a big ol hydrogen atom on my right shoulder that looks like a boob. Or a donut. Or a record. It's really in the eye of the beholder. :) I have a plan for interswirling Hokusai whitecaps on my left shoulder with a giant Red Crodd symbol underneath. Wing! What is the kanji for "honesty"? I want...

Re: Punk Rock Orchestra

They played the Gilman (?!?) and got everyone in there. Playing again in March, should be fun.

The clips are kinda crap... but who knows. mp3's are never a good source.

Punk Rock Orchestra

My friend just joined this group rockin the punk-clarinet. Symphonic Dead Kennedy's rule. They recorded the forthcoming album at Skywalker. The Institutionalized song is pretty rad.

Re: Speaking of SF Tape OP Bros

Going to be up in Seattle for the first time ever in about 3 weeks for work. Should be fun. I'll start scouting venues/places to tour. I went to 12 galaxies to go see The One Guy play... actually pretty good night. Good crowd / booze / sound. I'm excited to play Thursday, hopefully the new owners go...

Re: Oh SNAP! (Condi Hearings)

Dude - those hearings were a slap on the wrist. "Ms. Rice, I totally agree with you... what do you think?" Even Boxer pulled punches. She skated through this process.

Re: Speaking of SF Tape OP Bros

We tend to bunch our shows together. Like this month... Tongue and Groove, 12 Galaxies, and Park in 5 weeks, then write songs for a while, then go play again. It's whenever our work schedules let us really.

Touring is something I've yet to do. Maybe this summer head up north? Could be fun.

Re: Speaking of SF Tape OP Bros

We're playing a showcase thingy there Thursday night. We'll see how it goes. I dunno, as long as our fans show up, I'll play anywhere. Three times a month I just need to play.

Justin, your band isn't on the website.

Re: San Francisco Battle of the Bands

Hey! I met you at a Tongue and Groove show I was playing... you were there supporting Humming Wire I think. Is this Jordan or Colin?

My band is signing up! Sounds like fun, and a great chance to check out your studio!

Re: New iMac Mini just announced

Just got in from MacExpo in SF. The mini is tiny... kinda like picking up two paperbacks. Unobtrusive. Interesting turn for the company. STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM THE IPOD SHUFFLE. It's the flimsiest POS. The buttons on the demo machines already feel like they are going to fall off. Tiger is going to ...
