Re: Hope of the States

I saw them open for Franz Ferdinand a couple of months ago. The first song ROCKED. The next song rocked less, the third even less so, and that's when I realized every song has the same tempo, arrangement, and length (8 minutes). L O N G set.

They have potential though.

Re: Opening a coffee shop in VT

I actually run a Starbucks. Yeah yeah, taking over the world and all that, but believe it or not, it's actually a company aligned with a lot of my ideals. As I'm moving up the ladder, I'm finding it even more so. THey take GREAT care of their employees, the community, and are the ONLY major corporat...

Re: Any Suzuki Method former scholars out there?

HA! I've repressed years of Suzuki on the piano and all the memories are flooding back to me! Yeah, my brothers and I hated the rigidity and it drove me from the piano. However, it really did teach us concentration and how to trust our ears and we all rebeled by playing non-repetitive and free-form ...

Re: Ebay idiots

This is the THEORY of how to ebay wisely. Look at the item and description without looking at the price. Decide how much you would pay for that and bid. If it's lower than the reserve, cool, you don't have to buy it, you don't win, and it's not worth that high price to you. Otherwise, ebay will just...

Logan - what's your recording chain? How many tracks were able to get going in at once? Processing 24 tracks and recording 24 tracks are two different beasts!

Hmmmm cool idea Tyler! I imagine it's kinda like silk screening your own t-shirts. Could be rad and cheap, or at worst cheesy.

When I hear the phrase "stamp CD-Rs", it has always meant duplication, not ink printing. Like pressing vinyl.

My loved ones have been going without my love for too long. That said, back to the nog and HAPPY HOL...
