But folks around here speak very highly of the Effectrons. straight up. I have three of 'em! all the delays do plenty, and I use them in every mix, but there's a good amount of stereo processing that I can't approximate with mono delays, as well as a few things (like panning) that my delays simply ...

rackmount multi-effects NOT for reverb
I'm at the point where my reverb & delay needs are covered, but I sometimes have reason to want effects that reverbs & delays can't provide - auto-panning, flanging, phasing, tremolo, triggered panning, etc. My setup is all-analog. Of course I can use the delays & the tape machines for flanging, but...

when I mixed him live a couple years ago he had a small powered Mackie PA, one of those all-in-one mixer/power amp models. his voice went through that, with pedals on an aux send. it was powering a set of speakers on stage, and I took various lines out of the thing (post-effects, the way he wanted) ...

hate to say it, but Flowerpot Guy is actually kind of a good resource. he takes a shitload of photos of each piece, so for the super-rare stuff there's documentation of back panels, connectors, etc., where otherwise there wouldn't be. and, of course, his prices are crackers enough that the auctions ...

I find computers to be excellent targets for an M4 carbine when out in the desert here. this board needs a "like" button. I was trying to find a delay for purposes similar to the OP's, since my Effectrons are great for lots of things but not everything. http://messageboard.tapeop.com/viewtopic.php?...

Messrs. MacKinnon & Sevilla hit the nail on the head, here. we're listening to music out in the world in situations that approach acoustic mono more often than we realize. personally I love checking for vocal clarity in dense mixes by listening in the hallway. if the mixes make their way through the...

MXR Dyna Comp, yo. put a reamp in front of it and a DI after, or run it into an amp, or embrace the impedance mismatch (another means of making it sound more deranged) and just run tracks straight in. parallel drum bus? look out! it's like "Savoy Truffle" but even more F'ed. you can also go straight...
