Re: Buy American
Sorry. It's not simple. If we as consumers didn't demand so much cheap shit she would not be in this position. Sure she could have a place in Manhattan sew the clothes for her, but for someone just entering the market, the manufacturing costs would be astronomical. Without the cache of an establish...

Re: What do you charge high school kids?
One thing I would hope you'd consider, especially when dealing with youths, is; "What kind of impression do I want to leave on this world?" You could be the person that imparts the value of collaboration, the joys of expressing yourself creatively, or the importance of listenening to and trusting ot...

as it stands right now she's slaving away designing for a company that's doing the same damn thing. Why shouldn't she get a piece of the action? Ummm... I'm not taking sides or anything, but just to answer your rhetorical question. She shouldn't get a piece of the action because it's not the right ...

so, the folllowup to that is...
what the cheapest clock solution? (preferable with spdif outs)
the big ben cost is 4x my interface, about 2.5x my board, and prob 3x my monitors... seems tough to justify...

Re: is an external clock worth it, sonicaly speaking
I hear this alot too... but moreso with the Digi001 having a crummy clock... I believe it (it makes sense that if your samples were sporatic your sound could get 'smeared'), but don't know the difference between a 'good' clock and just a crummy external one... Anyone know if the Aphex 900 would be b...

Re: Brownies replaces bands with MP3 jukebox
you find this new situation 'interesting'?!?! it sucks! Brownies used to be one of my favorite places to see shows in nyc.... now it's a grossly tacky, lame bar... and the east village already has plenty of those. nyc has a shortage of free/cheap music (I mean relative to it's size)... and this is v...

Thanks for the kind words! It's not me singing (I can't sing at all)... but I was happy with how the vocals came out as well (although a little flat here and there, we were really just trying to bang this one out)... The guy singing is one of my 'real' band's singers (we have two)... here's a couple...

... this is what I was saying... take a look at what your IDE controller is getting recognized in the OS that works... If it is getting recognized as something different, try removing the device and having windows find it again... if it's NOT getting recognized try to explicitly add it... I really d...
