it's noisy.
my $0.02 (I'm a hobbyist, not pro by any means) I bought a wa76... and I had told myself that I wouldn't buy inexpensive clones of gear anymore... because I'd rather have less gear but gear that is high quality. I was shocked at how noisy this thing was. (I've never used a _real_ 1176 to compare) . ...

T: NYC: Crown D75-A for 48pt 1/4" Neutrik Patchbay??
Hey Everybody;
I need a 1/4" patchbay. I already have a Neutrik NYS-SPP-L... and would preferably like to get another of the same model.
I'd be willing to trade a Crown D75-A Power Amplifier (in pretty good condition) for one.
Prefer to meet in Downtown Brooklyn.
Let me know!

WTB: side panels and palm rest for Soundcraft Delta DLX-24
Hey Everybody;
I recently purchased a Soundcraft Delta DLX 24 Channel which was removed from a piece of studio furniture. The palm rest and side panels were missing.
I am wondering if anyone has these side panels and palm rest that they would be willing to part with?
Lemme know...
Thanks!

it was a dirty insert jack
... I still lurk on this forum all the time, but I haven't actually logged in in a very long time. I just logged in today, and figured that after 7 years, I'd post an update :) It was a dirty insert jack.... Scodiddly nailed it on the head. It took MANY iterations of contact cleaner and exercising t...

hmm... I haven't checked the other busses when it goes out, just the mix and the direct outs (and most importantly, the direct outs are fine). I should definitely get over my fear of opening the thing up and poking around, I _am_ a technical person... ...will also try giving it a good smack. I did t...

How F'd is my Soundcraft?
I know someone here knows what this issue is... but kinda hard to describe. I have a Soundcraft K1 16 channel. Often the right channel on my mix buss will 'go out'... almost as if there is a 'blockage'... if I crank up some gain and throw the balance all the way to the right, the 'blockage' will 'cl...

Re: choosing an older analog board....
...maybe not what you want but...
I got a soundcraft k1 - 16 channel live board for 800bucks (with a road case!)...
yeah, it's a live board, but it has direct outs, and to me, it sounds great. (I have a similar setup 'cept still using the digi001)

Re: Drum Risers
I have. I floated a floor ( made from: plywood - drywall - soundstop - plywood) on 2" blocks of neoprene rubber. I made sure the floor didn't touch any of the walls on the sides. Then, I used two layers of carpet "foam" (I used felt, not foam) then a layer of carpet. I'm sure I could've done somethi...

Re: Newbie - have some questions
Hey Patrick,
Do me a favor and let your parents know I'm up for adoption.
Only one mic a month; Horrible!
These things always seem to happen to the nicest people.

Re: MIC TO RECORD RECORDINGS?!! Oh snaps!
...even better, if you have it in a digital medium, like dvd etc... de-mux it! you can strip out the pure audio... no worries about signal path! ...look out on the web for software that allows you to rip dvd's to mpegs... and then you can use software to demux the audio (I know mplayer does this)...

Re: adat to lightpipe to protools
this is gonna sound dumb, but...
hit record!
ie... if you're in playback and your playing back out stuff... whilst bringing it in... you gotta be recording to see levels...
possible this is it?

Re: C4000B -opinions and alternatives pls
I lived with this mic for almost two years... it was a housemate's. It's multi-pattern options make it way more useful than a baby-bottle (I compared the two on the body of an accoustic guitar [over the right shoulder]... and the 4000 was beautiful, but the baby-bottle was just too much low end - my...

Re: Network macs with pcs
save yourself some bucks and use a crossover cable... (if you just want to transfer files occasionally)...
specifics on what OS's your using, and if they are already networked at all would allow us to help you.
You most definitely can do it.
