I got a chance to play with one at the mac store in Sherman Oaks, CA over the weekend. It's a stunning piece of gear. I am definitley not a machead (I make a living as a PC computer tech), but I honestly felt an emotional connection to it. It took a lot not to pull out the credit card and walk out o...

Although it is a full DAW, Reaper is really small and efficient. I use it on my PC laptop (it runs on OSX, too) as a softsynth host and guitar effects rig through Rig Kontrol. Works beautifully.

Revelator - Gillian Welch cover
Hey all -
I recorded a cover version of Gillian Welch's "Revelator". The recording features acoustic guitar, Moog Voyager, two-mic-bit-reduced drum loops, vocals and harmonies in a nice stew of echo and spring reverb.

FS: Lunchbox with 2 Eisen Audio Preamps
Hey everyone - I'm selling a 3 space 500 series lunchbox with a Fivefish PSU-1848 power supply and two Eisen Audio preamps. I purchased the lunchbox from Kojdog on this board. This is not a standard lunchbox. Koji explains it pretty well here . I replaced the original power supply with a FiveFish PS...

Crumar Orchestrator I picked it up at a flea market last weekend. It's in really good shape, but everything was covered in a thin layer of dirt. I opened it up, cleaned/lubed the sliders and board connectors and wiped the keys/body with isopropyl alcohol. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2479/35469794...

~1303~ - 4 track and 8 track recordings
Hey all! Way back in 1998, before I used external preamps, compression, or Pro Tools, I put together an album called "~1303~. I would spend hours in my bedroom playing music and recording. I did a lot of bouncing and would often record more than one thing live to a track. There are lots of vocal har...

I bought a refurbished Gateway AMD Phenom Quadcore for just under $500, it's handled everything I need it for so far. I'm running a 002 with ProTools and M-Audio usb interface with FL Studio.
They have really good deals on a lot of stuff.
