Re: Transducer use?

Thanks for all of your replies. I'll get a male to male xlr adapter to try using it as a mic, and I'll report back.

Transducer use?

I found this in a box of things I inherited from a friend a while ago. I'm assuming it's a transducer but the xlr connector is female so he must have used it as some kind of a speaker? Could I use this as a sub kick or a weird stick on drum mic? Could I hook it up with a male to male xlr adaptor? I'...

Re: Considering going back in time with an old MOTU interface

Just to report back. Maybe I had two issues. I still have the channel one noise problem. But paying attention to the order that I booted them up (and also the master ADAT settings within the id22 mixer software -- I think I had some saved settings where I was using the ASP800 as the master instead o...

But I will try what the guy above reco...

Re: Considering going back in time with an old MOTU interface

Thank you very much for the replies. I did cycle through the sample rate settings on the asp 800 but keeping the sample size at 48 for both the 800 and the daw was the best option. I think one thing I failed to emphasize is that I felt pretty disillusioned by the failure of this device in terms of h...

Considering going back in time with an old MOTU interface

Hi, I am a musician who records himself and sometimes bandmates. I don't operate my small home studio professionally. That said, it's treated with rockwool panels, and I believe I get some good sounds. My current setup is an Audient ID22 and the Audient ASP 800 8 pre ADAT which I bought second hand ...
