Re: How To Play Guitar
By the way, David Fair has a counterpart in the pro audio world: http://www.geocities.com/jackortmanaudio/ So let me get this straight - all I have to do is give you my credit card number, and then tell you if I'd prefer the red or the black guitar? The mono or the rack microphone? Talk about takin...

Re: Quiet Power Supplies?
I went through the process of trying to shut my PC up last year. I got a 'silent' power supply and processor cooling fan, as well as hard drive enclosures for both drives. Re: 1/4" vs. xlr (how important is this?)
I don't think that either is necessarily better, as long as the 1/4" jacks are balanced (which the D-16's are). The first four inputs on that unit have phantom power, so that's an advantage, if you have mics with that requirement.

Wow! That thing looks great. I sometimes have to do remote recording (friend's house, etc). That would help me a bunch. Thanks for the link.

Re: Name Dropping thread
Gil Gerard (TV's Buck Rogers) gave me an autograph at a truck show when I was a kid. That's gotta count for something.

I'll try to find out that vendor from our hardware guy tomorrow. I can't remember off hand.

Re: making cables look neat and what not
My day job is in A/V installation, and we use snakeskin all the time. They make some that has a velcro strip running the whole length, so you can have the nice snaked look, and still add cables later.
Of course, it's not cheap.

Re: Need eBay help!
Looks good to me. The description is thorough, and you haven't made any crazy claims (this unit is better than an SM58, etc). The only other thing I would say is that it looks like you may be using a catalog photo. Some buyers are wary of sellers not using photos of the actual product for sale. Othe...
