bump!
I am very anxious to hear about re-casing these. Has anyone done it? What kind of circuit is in these things? Would it be possible to install true bypass switching?

Re: STUPIDEST BAND NAME YOU'VE EVER HEARD?
slobberbone is actually from dallas...great band, btw.
they will be the first to tell you their name has been quite a challenge for them.
my vote goes for another dallas band, Pulling Wool. They suck.

Re: Do you really have to spend big $$$$ to get good monitor
I would recomend looking for a used set of NHT A10 Pro monitors. They come with a separate power amp and although they are no longer made, they are an incredilbe value if you can find them. I know some other people around here can probably speak more intelligently about them, but when I was in the m...

Re: Great Pedals and Stomp Boxes
Anyone familiar with Nobles? I have their Overdrive. Much better in my opionon than a tube screamer. And I got it for $40 brand new. Built like a tank. Mine is the older green one (like a ts-9). The new ones are white but supposedly the same.

Re: WANTED: Guitar Cab
You may laugh, but I have a cabinet that is just like a bogner. It is the same grade wood and pretty much the same schematic. It has bullet proof tolex and celetion G75's(?) in it. It is a brand name that starts with a P, but the label isn't on it and noone would ever know. It sounds incredible. I k...

oktava mlk2500
anyone have any experience with this mic? i notice gc has them for $199 with a free 319 for good measure. I hear good things about the 319, so 200 bucks would be a great deal for one of those AND a tube mic if it's any good. Any comments?
Thanks

Re: <<Sony MDR 7506 QUESTION>>
how would you go about switching out the drivers? I have these phones and they are pretty much blown (no more bass response) and the ear cups are mostly gone. how/where do you find the replacement parts?

i would have to hear it within the context of a song. otherwise, it's just poetry and i am no poet critic.

dave at avatar is a good guy and builds somewhat "custom" cabs. I have one with a greenback and a G12H speaker wired for 16ohms. Open and closed back options and I love it. Gave new life to my 50 watt JMP head.
