Re: best mic for trumpet track?
You know my favorite mic on trumpet and it does sound great is an RE20, very versitile mic- given your selection I know its odd but I would try that D112 because the most other used thing I use the RE20 for is kick so it seems to reason that another large diapham dynamic might work the same way, smo...

I'm very curious about this too because I use a 882 and I'd like to try a converter to see what would happen-
I'll say this, the 882 has served me very well and sounds pretty good-
remeber when there was all that hullaballoo on CDs about a 20 bit mastering job haha

Re: Focusrite ISA 428 has anybody used one of these?
Thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions, it was sure appreciated. there is one more question about this digital link thing I wanted to clear up before I pull the trigger and buy this thing. Like I said I plan to get the 002 rack and I also have a PT24 TDM with a 882 interface. I noti...

Though its all Dean, thier best album is "Save for a rainy day" recorded while Jan was f...

Re: Does anyone like the rode NT1000 or NTK? am I crazy?!?
A vote here for the NTK- I don't use it as much as when I first bought it but it has a secure place in my cabinet- you wouldn't think it at first but its great for acoustic guitar, kind of beatle-y sounding. bright with a nice attack. fits real well in the mix. loud small amps sound great with this ...
