Re: tech question for NYC peeps- where to find fuse?

Thanks great info, I love this site-
by the way, I'm 40 and I actually do remember Radio Row, I had a Uncle that owned one of those shops. I remember my mom taking me down there when I was 5 in 1968 and seeing the foundation of the the twin towers being excavated!!!

Re: SM81's or AT3035's for Overheads???

I was the one considering packing in my set of SM81's- well, I was wrong, I've rediscovered them and am keeping them. I've got one for you- THE BEATLES
Think about it, if you were discussing names for your new band and some suggested it, you'd laff and dimiss that one pretty quick

I've just bought these old RFT german preamps, they do not have Phantom 48V. I obviously need to buy a phantom unit to power my condensers. What I want to know is will the unit I buy make any diffrence in the sound? I mean if I buy a cheapy ART or a pricey neumann unit does it make any diffrence in ...

I do have both the 184's and the U87 I would love to hear the i-47 I guess it depends on what your application was, but the 184's are just wonderful. Neumann has been getting bashed alot and I think its in some part becuase of Fletchers falling out with them and the dollar/euro decline, fletchs got ...
