What's a good soundcard to get for recording to my PC?

I have a Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum sound card and I think it may be causing some "pops and clicks" in my recordings. I've tried a bunch of other things, but no luck. Also, I don't know much about sound cards and I hear that this card isn't that good anyway. I like the RCA, Optical, 1/4" in's tha...

Quantegy gone?! What now?

I use 1/2" tape and had been using the popular 456 just because it's cheap, available and it seems to work well with my machine. Anyway, does anyone know where there might...

How do I use my Twin Reverb as a reverb effects unit?

I want to use my Twin Reverb as an effect unit for recording. I was recording with a guy years ago who did it. I want to get the least noise possible too. Any suggestions?

What reverb units are good for recording?

I'm sick of crappy digital reverbs and want to know which way other people have gone. I had a Space Echo, Fostex somthing or other, ect. and haven't been satisfied with the reverb.

Re: wtb: ampeg V4-b head

I've got a V4-B head that I'm not using much. It's been retubed and gone through in the last few years, but I live in Oregon. It's pretty nice, weighs a ton and is missing the 'Ampeg' logo off of the front. If you're still interested make me an offer.
