I guess i'm referring to the live setup, although i'd like to know about either one. I have no idea what a matchless prototype is...
I read somewhere that he used a fender deluxe 85 too.

Stephen Malkmus' Amp
I know he has a marshall cabinet and an orange head, but does anyone know exactly what kind the head is? 30, 50, 100 Watt?
thanks

Re: The new Ted Leo/Rx album...
I downloaded Me and Mia last night. I think I need to listen to it a few more times, but i'm kinda disappointed with the recording as well. Everything is really loud and flat, and there isn't much going on in the song. sigh. I really loved his last two albums, and the chisel stuff before that. Oh we...

Re: The new Ted Leo/Rx album...
I absolutely love Ted Leo. In addition to being an awesome musician, he was a really nice guy when I talked to him. I was supposed to do an interview with him but it never worked out.
Ditto for the sound of the records, really great stuff.

Re: How To Hints...
I too have had this problem, and it's never an easy one to deal with. You can't try to pull him through recording if he's just going to drag his heels the whole time. If he really wants to do it he will, if not, move on. It's hard, but sometimes you have to do it.

Re: 4 track problem weirdness
The tapes are brand spanking new TDK's. I know it's a $100 4 track, but it's been amazing. I use this thing more than I use my $400 8 track. It was the first thing I ever got to record stuff on, and it's been awesome to me. Except for right now of course... I really really really appreciate all your...

Re: 4 track problem weirdness
I think I saw that one there. I just went upstairs to mess with it some more, and now on track 4 I can hear what I just recorded over! I guess it's not totally erasing or something. I recorded me talking, then went back to record the drums on track 4 thereby erasing the talking, but when I played it...

Re: 4 track problem weirdness
i just cleaned the heads on it, (didnt de-mag) but it still records hotter on track 1 than on track 4. Do you think I need to de-magnetize it?

Re: 4 track problem weirdness
I didn't think of that. I'll go give that a whirl.
Would it be ok to use the head cleaner from radio shack? I've never cleaned the heads on it before.

4 track problem weirdness
Here's my 4 track <img src="http://img3.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/pics/products/24/240851.jpg" alt="" align="bottom"> Here's the problem- I can arm up to two of the tracks at the same time, so I can pan say the guitar kinda wide. Ok, well up until about 3 days ago it all worked just fine, but now, w...

Mini stereo to RCA adapter
I need an adapter that goes from a 1/8 in (I believe) Mini stereo to 2 RCA's. They're not hard to find, but I need one with about a 20 or 30 foot cord. I've searched on the internet, but I don't even know if they make them that long. Anything else I could do besides that?
