what about El Matador on the corner of Esplanade and Decatur across from Checkpoint Charlies just a block down from where Kingsway used to be? Or Kerry Irish Pub on Decatur up near Canal has some pretty good free music from time to time and THE BEST guiness on tap in the city. Louisiana Music Factor...

Godflesh put the drum machine to great use. "Selfless" is an amazing dense record. I believe they used an Alesis SR-16 on that. But my favorite was the "Songs About Love And Hate" record where they had Brain from Primus (now GNR?) play along with the drum machine. An incredible record.
