Mic Cable!
Looking in the BSW catalog this month, I found 1000' (one thousand feet) of belden studio cable for 119.00... is this good?
i mean, it's 1000' feet... the number is 8451 and 9451.. i don't know. is this like studio wall wiring mic cable, or can i make 'mic cable' cables out of it?

FT - gefell 692 omni capsules
For Trade:
two M93 omni capsules for gefell 691, 582, etc...they're in fine but vintage shape, sound great.
i'm looking for the cardioid capsules.
a few people on here were considering it but i want to make this official.
let's do the trade!

Go here: http://www.blackbirdstudio.com/ This has to be one of the sickest gear collections of all time. And I know that it's not all listed either. There's more. If you were to take everyone on this board and add up all the gear, it wouldn't even come close to the stuff Jon has. He is the world's ...

and i don't think the drum beats here are "locked to a grid". i don't use a grid, i don't use grid mode, i don't use beat detective. Yep, understood. It's a different and more subtle thing. So, one more question: do you use any special tool to slice the waveform into regions in PT? Some kind of tra...

the bagpipe's really interesting in how it produces sound. before you record it, have the player play and stand there, listening to see where sound comes out. you'll want to place mics at these spots, obviously. one is going to be the bag, where some drone happens, and the other, well, at the pipes!...

he can play alright. his band is phenomenal. but, everything is still tuned and pocketed to tighten it up, but it still has some of that grit and fluidity that it did before. the reason you don't get to hear it as the original players did, as i've said before, is that this music satisfies a particul...

most of what i do, all of what i do is pop/country. pretty much every commercial recording in that genre is edited into submission; the drums are pocketed like this, the bass track is chopped up and seated to follow the drums, the acoustics and electrics are pocketed and you fix any mistakes, any le...

i'm trying to find a way to show you before and after in an mp3... i'll see what i can do. and i don't think the drum beats here are "locked to a grid". i don't use a grid, i don't use grid mode, i don't use beat detective. it's just looking, listening, feeling how the drums should be and, yes, givi...

I am opposite. I have been wanting some omni capsules for my MV692's and M582's. If your mic has a roll off and a pad than it is indeed an MV692. Those mics rock. actually investigated further. mine are the 691's, same model without pad or filter. ah well. they still rule. you want to trade the omn...

personally i think there's nothing wrong with some EQ and compression if you're doing it right. i frequently assist with the Nashville Symphony and the guy who records them uses amazingly high quality gear... i won't divulge the big list but he uses a GML 8900 compressor, which is practically invisi...
