I had a batch of NS-10 woofers that had bad glue from yamaha. I just used super glue to attach the surround to the cone. I think anything would work fine.

They are kinda rare, so it's a sellers market.

I have no idea what they are worth, but I want one too.

I believe those programs can utilize the DSP processing on the farm cards.. Are you sure about that? I've never heard of anything but Protools being able to address the farm cards. Besides, those programs run VST plugins, not the protools ones. I run some of the Arturia soft synth stuff on my TDM c...

From looking at the regulator pins, and the group of diodes that appear to be forming a bridge, i would say the wires you have marked as the bi-polar supply are the output of the mains transformer. Probably AC, AC, center tap and technical ground. The output of the regulators is going to the ribbon ...

I've always used Kester "44", and flush the flux away with isopropyl 99.9%

A lot of people here are recommending Kester 245. I might grab a spool of that next time.

That's cool. I've thought about getting a trailer like that and turning it into a little machine shop.

i measured more of the shop's NS10s and found out they all were different as well. Can you share your measurement technique? MSL, band limited pink noise into a radio shack SPL meter? Not being able to get new parts for NS10s sucks. I just ordered 10 woofers, and 10 tweeters a month ago. I believe ...

I'm such a fan of mix systems. The 888's have always been fine for what I do. Some of the best sounding stuff I have ever done was recorded with 888's. But if your a pro (I'm not) you should probably have HD. Why get into a Mix system? 1. The hardware is cheap 2. You don't have to upgrade to a new m...

I owned one for a while, I sold it on eBay because it ran too hot, and I thought it sounded boring. The guy who bought it said it was busted, but he didn't want me to refund his money?

I dono, I thought it was kinda crappy, mass produced chinese junk.
