Re: What if the U.S. were like Iraq?

Mr PC, while your article is interesting and certainly something to consider, my concern is the instability in Iraq. I believe that it could be argued that when Saddam was in power the population knew who the enemy was and was probably able to function better, no matter how horrible that is.

Re: Poll for Kerry Supporters

I am supporting Kerry because he's everything we need in a President. First, he's had a lifetime of full military support and respect He's had 30 + years of unbelievable participation in Senate committees He's come from a small family and connects well with the lower class people. He's moderate and...

Re: Stick a broom handle in Bush

WHY I'M NOT WORRIED ABOUT ANOTHER FOUR YEARS OF BUSH Because we're on to them. The first year, we cut a new pres some slack. Then 9/11 happened, so we wanted to come together and support the leader. Fine. But the press and the newly invigorated left won't let one move, one action, one speech go by ...

Re: Athlon vs. Pentium

This is a tough debate. I know plenty of people that are happy with Athlon's. However, Intel has a better reputation and is exclusively used by many OEM's such as Dell. You might not even see first hand the performance between a $180 P4 and a Athlon of similar price. That is my opinion by the way. I...

Interesting read on Firewire and Windows

It gives a brief history behind why Firewire isn't included in Intel chipsets and how Windows maybe fucking you with their 1394b support.

Please excuse my ignorance but what is that? Can you buy it at a regular hardware store?

Re: Residential dual pane windows

I guess my point of all this is: between the cinder block walls, the position of my room (30 feet from any other residential household) and dual pane windows on the entire house, I think (or hope) that I can practice with a band during acceptable hours. Am I crazy?

Re: Residential dual pane windows

I would like to use a bedroom of my house for practicing with a band. We are an aggresive indie rock band so were load but not a death metal band. I like in a cinder block house built in the 1950's. I have insulation only in the attic. The windows are currently single pane with an alluminium frame. ...

Residential dual pane windows

How well do standard dual pane windows isolate noise from the inside of a room to the outside. I was considering buying them, for among other reasons, noise reduction. Anyone have experience with them?

phase - wherein frequencies cancel out if intersected in phase, but out of period.
I know what phase is. What specifically about overheads? Is it a relationship of distance, of location, of signal ....?
