Re: Neve 9098 pres
Sorry, i geuss i didn't read the subject line clearly i thought you were talking about the console not just the pre's. These pre's are awesome though, i have a friend who is putting together a kit that is a 9098 clone except with an API output transformer should be pretty badass since he is a genius.

Re: crap sounding records... that are great!
Iggy & The Stooges - Raw Power Hum - Electra 2000 the kick and snare overpower all the crappy sounding guitars and vocals but the songs are awesome I definately agree with Husker Du. The guitars on Zen Arcade are like a high frequency razor blade slicing through your head, but it's one of my favorit...

1/4" Patchbay Question ???????????
Is there one 1/4" patchbay that stands out from the others or are they all pretty much the same? I would like to get one that is able to change the normalling without a big hassle (preferably from the front panel). Are there any specifics to look for in a high quality 1/4" patchbay or am I just wast...

Re: Neve 9098
This console rocks! The pre's are some of the best out there. The weird thing about this console is that the large fader is always the channel fader (it does not switch depending on what mode the console is in like an SSL does) which took me awhile to get used to after working on only SSL for severa...

Re: Full Sail did it again!
I work at Full Sail in the MIDI Lab. Its true what these students have said. Yes there are a lot of people there that don't put in the effort. But the ones that do get something out of it. There are success stories out of Full Sail. Its just the sheer amount of students they take in. Youre only goi...

Re: NS-10s vs. HR824s
I really like the Dynaudio BM15a's. I think for a similar price range as the mackies they blow them away. The HR824's also sound hyped to me. The Event ASP8's are pretty good too.
