Re: what cubase version do you use?
I don't use it much anymore at all so I still have VST 5.1r1. In fact I have not fired it up about two months. I plan to eventually move to SX but I find myself using Reason, Vegas and Sound Forge with a little Tracktion for tempo work in Reason. My version of Cubase is bulky and not all that reliab...

Re: Ripping vinyl to a CD?
Sony markets all of the Noise Reduction 2.0 software that Sonic Foundry created. It works with any DirectX app such as Sound Forge et al.
Most importantly it kicks ass on scratchy old vinyl.

Re: Is reason worth the money?
Well whatever you decide if you plan to get Reason you should do so when 2.5 goes on sale to make room for the incoming 3.0 boxes. There is usually a big price break on the leftover copies of the previous versions. Even with the upgrade cost you may well spend less than on a new copy of 3.0. It's wo...

Re: The Thread About Reason
Is there anyway to rewire into multiple tracks in a DAW (Im currently using Tracktion) so that i could say....have all my drum programming playing on one track but all my synth stuff on another one where i could use some of the Tracktion plugs without altering the sound of the drums? It's dependant...

Re: The Thread About Reason
[snip]...(well, actually it'd be awesome to run EVERYTHING through a Scream).[snip] I understand what you're saying about the audio ins. It would be convenient on some levels but the trade off on a performance level would make Reason cease to be Reason is my guess. For what its worth I run all of m...

Re: Free copy of Traktion
Okay- So what does everbody think of Tracktion? :?: I've using it for over a year and I love it. andy I think it's OK. Pretty intuitive. And for the price! ;) Actually Tracktion has always been my first suggestion to people that need a DAW and are on a budget. But it still seems to deliver on a lot...

Re: The Thread About Reason
Now if only you could rewire at least a stereo pair into the reason mixer, and enjoy the sweet sounds of the new mastering tools on your guitar and vocals as well as reason tracks. The Props have come out and said several times that this is not going to happen. Besides the Reason engine is designed...

Re: Fruity vs. Reason?
I would say that the ideal solution is to get both. Failing that it depends on what other software you already have. If you don't have a DAW of any kind you need something like Floops but in the end it comes down to certain specifics about your workflow. I prefer Reason to Floops from a workflow sta...

Re: The Thread About Reason
hey everybody, I was wondering if it's possible to run my audio tracks through reason so i could take advantage of effects (like scream 4, etc.) or (and I'm not even sure if this is possible) through one of the synths themselves. I've heard it can be done somehow using the sampler but I'm not reall...
