Wouldn't using a pop filter help a lot with this? I don't own a ribbon yet. I have recorded with some Coles before. Whenever I am reading posts like this I think to myself that I would just put up a pop filter. I never see it mentioned. Does anyone do that for safety?

Anyone know what the difference is between these mics? They "look" the same of course. I have used the 468 live. I just got a 408B for pretty cheap. Anyone use a 408B mic? Thoughts?

Any reason why your not looking at Cardiod patterns?

Nathan Moore did his album "Back in 15 Minutes" on a porch in the country. The crickets get louder as the album progresses. It's awesome.

Definitly a good deal there. The other day I was using one in a mixer with global phantom. When I engaged phantom for a different mic I think I started getting some crackle or fuzz in the 635. Anyone have that problem before? I think I ended up moving the condensor to an outboard pre to keep moving ...

I just got one of these pretty cheap. It's electret I think. Takes a AA battery and has a 1/4" connection. Google only finds links to Frank Zappa bootlegs. Anyone ever use one of these?
