e-piano for shows?

hello, okay we have an old ARP electric piano but we're tired of lugging it around (it's big and takes forever to warm up sometimes) so what's a decent, 300-500 dollar range alternative? I saw this band called liarbird that toured with mirah 2 years ago and they had this rackmount synth thing hooked...

as a band we plan to split any money that may come our way (it's not about money anyway, right?), it's just that when it comes to the publishing there are certain rights one has as the author of a work that we want to retain...

new question: anyone know anything about publishing contracts... specifically, when you sign one do you have to specifically assign a percentage of what a band member contributed? for example: john doe wrote the lyrics and the basic song but band member one and two came up with their own guitar and ...
