Other way around, I think - denser air will absorb/attenuate highs quicker than lows, so a cold, dry day at sea level has the most absorbtion of highs and a hot, humid day in Denver would have the most highs propogating. So, in other words, going up to Denver will actually attenuate the highs, more than the lows?
