no idea about the adat sync thing here, but i have a brc i was just thinking of using for my 828mkIIs. just wish i went up to 96k. 48k, it is i guess. from the looks of this thread. using an external clock at 48k should sound better than the internal clocks at 96k, anyhow.

theres no head in the middle, but now you've got me wondering. sometimes i use a little bit of foam, or a pillow if i want a tighter sound, but usually im just going for that huge "boom" sound. usually i do a d112 close to the batter head inside, then a at3035(i dont have "good" mics) outside a foot...

i just do this... i dont know.

not sure about anybody else, but i know i always get demos from keyboards stuck in my head. some real catchy tunes. wondering if im the only one?

im just curious how much of that 'up to 1.4 billion' would actually go to the artists, if any of it... how can you even trace how many songs, let alone what songs were downloaded. how does this settlement benefit the artist in any way, other than toppling such a large share of the illegal downloads ...

the gp8 is pretty cool. ive got one i dig out every now, and again.

ive had a cheaper pair, i forget what model, but they have held up for about 9 years now. only thing wrong was a few years ago i had to replace the plug.

apparently, you have to replace an eprom, so nevermind...

does ANYBODY know where to find the update? i cant find it on the motu page anywhere, didnt find anything through google. anybody know something?

i would probably do the bulk of the mixing itb, and then pump it all out, giving key tracks an individual channel on the board. lead vox, lead guitar, etc. something to give you a feel for riding the faders, and give you an idea of weather or not its something you could really get in to. good luck!

our soundworkshop 1600 sounds amazing, but i will say its a work hog. it may be because it spent most of its life in a university, and was pretty beat up, so i cant say. i will say it sounds beefy as fuck. wish it had more aux's, though.
