Any idea's on the mod for the eq card. the mod I have on the card is 2200pf. I could try eaither a 1fn first then a 2nf accross the cap that is already there to raise it to 3 or 4nf.

Tape bias for 499 and GP9
Latly I've beening running my Studer A-80 Mk2 at 15 ips to help on tape cost. In away I like it a bit better. My question is in two parts first what is a good bias for these two different tapes 499 and GP9. At 30 ips I would bias at -2db or -1.5.. I was told -3db was standard for 15ips? . Any commen...

15ips bias for GP9 and 499
With all the tape problems coming about I started going 15 ips on my studer A-80 mark2. What is a good bias to go for I was told and read that 456 was -3db but I noticed that I had a problem getting my 10K to balance out . What I mean is I can't turn the trim pot back enough to get a zero db at 10K....
