I like parametric for basically fixing stuff ( hums, noise, etc.)..Graphic gets used for tracking individual stuff...I leave the Master buss EQ'ing to the ME ( if necessary)..Usually he'll have more expensive, dedicated, higher quality EQ for the mix bus than I can afford..!.. ..I've found IME ...

Re: Soundcraft Ghost interfacing with recorders
Recently bought a Soundcraft Ghost, and today as I started the task of getting it setup, I realized that the direct outputs on the channels have a nominal level of -2dBu (unbalanced). Seems ridiculous, I guess I should have done my homework more thoroughly before buying this thing. I know this is a...

Yeah snatch ^^^^, probably 30-50% of the reviews I did see (perhaps tellingly over at GS, however) were about the console's "badness" (not in a good way). Everybody, thank you for your replies, and SD, I may try to contact them directly so thanks for the heads-up. Keep them coming; I still really d...

I had the pleasure ( or not) of working on one of these back in the 90's in a studio. It was a nice sounding console.....when it worked..!..Man, they had soooo many problems with that console that they finally sold it for about a grand or so and replaced it with a DDA..I think they had about 4 spare...

Re: Tangent 3216 parts
Hi I have some extra Tangent 3216 channel strips (about 16). I will include a copy of the schematic and assist you in racking them up if you wish. Simple +/- 15 supply and direct out already wired. High quality Penny and Giles Fader, and very responsive eq. FLASHBACK: Tangent Channel Strips from 32...

Emotiva Airmotive 6 Monitor...?
Hello..I'm in search of another monitor pair as I have a set of the Equator D-8s. They are good but as I stated in a post, something just doesn't quite set right with me with them..Plus, I don't know if the class D amps have anything to do with it but, when I compared regular amplified monitors, the...

I know NS10s have their fans, many of whom are famous, but I've never seen the appeal. They aren't very accurate. I can see their utility as "check" speakers but I wouldn't rely on them as the main mixing speakers unless I had no other options. There are a bunch of great monitors out these days.......

Re: Hafler P-3000 Amp Repair?
Hello..My Hafler P-3000 took a nose dive on me. ..Anyone here worked on/repair these Hafler amps? If so, would you give me a PM if you may be interested in taking a look at mine.Thanks.! It depends on the cost of repair. The Hafler P3000 is a very good amp and is a robust build. I've had two ...

Well, what's it worth to you? Round trip shipping and a couple hours on a tech's bench would probably buy you a functional amp...assuming that the fault is easy to find, and replacement parts aren't unavailable. If it's not easy to find the fault, or you have to go to brokers to get the parts, it m...
