Re: I NEED A BOARD... NOW!!!

there is a TAC on ebay now but since you are in NYC check out ARMEN's repair shop. I saw one or two boards in his shop and he has great deals on used gear. He is on 30th street 3 doors down from Downtime Club.
his # is 212 5634514
good luck

I have 12 mono channels available. Will take best $ offer + shipping from NJ
these come from an old 8bus console. All were working when I took the board apart about 3 years ago.

Re: Live recording in NYC need rentals soon!

you might be better off renting a mixing board from any PA rental company in the city. (tons of them around). Midas or Even an ATi Paragon would save you a lot of $$$ compared to renting 32 ch of fancy pres. and it would be quicker and easier to set up. also try One dream sound, Firehouse or even Se...

Re: DBX 160 -A-X-XT WTF?

how does 903 fit into this discussion. I heard it uses the same circuitry as 160...true? false? How do 903 compare to 160 sound wise?
if given a choice which would you use in recording environment?
thanks

FT Auratone speaker

I have a single Auratone speaker. It is old but in decent condition. Works well. Has not been used for at least past 10 years.
I'd like to trade for any audio "toy" ....maybe some cheap mic pre if you have one around.
suggestions , offers?

Re: Phase/polarity

Shure makes a switchable polarity XLR adapter and I am sure a bunch of other companies do as well....but before you find a cable and adapter to flip things in and out of phase try moving your mikes around untill it sounds the way you like it....

Re: Live Sound Wireless Lavalier?

Well, if Lav makes it too difficult how about trying a DPA head set. It is tiny it is flesh color (choice for few ethnic groups) and it's very comfortable to wear. It is made of a light yet durable surgical tube that could be bent to fit your face. You can see those on many Broadway shows. Well you ...

Re: Oktava MK319 two for $100 at Guitar Center

speaking of MK319...just used one last night on vocals through Neotek Elite(flat EQ)...sounded so good I didn't even bother trying any "better" alternatives.
Lot of presence and warmth...Is there a better mic for the price?
